Classical High School
/Classical High School is an existing 213,082 square foot Brutalist style high school originally constructed in 1967. The School is comprised of a 3-story academic building with 3 classroom pods on each floor, and a separate gymnasium, cafeteria, and auditorium building connected through a tunnel. The main focus of Agostini Construction for this project was to renovate the academic building bringing in all new mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems. The building will have an entirely new heating and cooling system, new bathrooms throughout, and are now fully sprinklered. In addition, as part of the project, the gym/cafeteria/auditorium building is also now fully sprinklered, making all the high school buildings much safer.
The plans also call for a new media center located on the first floor, and several upgrades in the main entry and the administration area, including a new man trap vestibule, making the space much more functional and safe.
